Club Soda House Rules
Effective: 2025-11-16
1. Scope of the House Rules
The House Rules of Club Soda Event Venue (address: 4400 Nyíregyháza, Rákóczi u. 18-20. basement 1., hereinafter: Club Soda / event venue) apply to every person who is on the premises of the venue or in its immediate vicinity. By entering the venue, such persons acknowledge that they have read these House Rules and accept them as binding upon themselves.
2. Characteristics of the venue
2.1 Capacity
The venue has a maximum capacity of 50 persons, which must include the entire staff (optionally 0 or 2 persons, see 4.2). The exact number of guests is recorded at the time the contract is signed and cannot be modified afterwards.
2.2 Configuration
The venue's configuration can be tailored to the occasion. Selectable elements include, among others, chairs and tables.
The list of desired elements is fixed in the contract and cannot be modified afterwards.
3. Entering the venue
3.1 Conditions of entry
Guests may only enter the venue after prior consultation and after a valid rental contract has been signed. The time of the paperwork is agreed jointly by the contracting parties, but it must take place no later than one hour before the start of the rental.
The guest list may be freely modified after the contract is signed; however
- the renter must remain on the premises for the entire duration of the rental, and
- the number of guests fixed in the contract must never be exceeded.
In the absence of a valid rental contract the operator reserves the right to refuse entry to all guests, regardless of any reservation.
3.2 Duration of use
The venue may be used during the timeframe set out in the rental contract, but in all cases no earlier than 17:00 on the day of the event and no later than 08:00 the following day.
The renter may also start the rental before 17:00; this is billed on top of the rental fee at an hourly rate specified in the rental contract.
3.3 Deposit
When signing the contract the renter is required to pay a deposit, the exact amount of which is set in the rental contract. The renter accepts that, in the event of damages or a noise complaint, the deposit is not guaranteed to be returned.
3.4 Inspection of the venue's condition
The operator guarantees the cleanliness of the venue, the integrity of the furnishings, and the presence of the requested optional elements at every event. Independently of this, the renter may choose to inspect these conditions themselves. If the renter raises no objections to these conditions when taking over the venue, any deficiency or damage discovered later qualifies as damage caused by the renter.
The condition of the venue is also documented at https://clubsoda.pixieset.com/fotomelleklet; any deviation from this likewise qualifies as damage.
For the indicative fees of the most common damage items see: Appendix 1.
4. Rules inside the venue
4.1 Liability
Everyone is on the premises of Club Soda at their own risk and uses the services and equipment at their own responsibility. The operator accepts no liability for personal injuries or property damage arising from the improper use of the venue or any other reckless behaviour. The operator is only liable in relation to its own staff.
4.2 Security partner
The venue's services include a contracted security partner. The security personnel check the premises twice every day, with particular attention to noise disturbance. The checks take place exclusively outside the venue, and the personnel may not disturb the event.
In addition, in the event of an incident the renter can contact the security partner via the phone number displayed inside the venue; in that case the personnel will come on-site.
4.3 Continuous on-site security
In addition to the checks described in 4.2, continuous on-site security can be requested for any event. In that case the personnel performing the service arrive at the start of the rental and remain on the premises until the rental ends (i.e. for the entire duration of the rental).
The service has three main functions:
- protecting the integrity of the venue and its furnishings,
- protecting the integrity and private character of the event, and
- protecting the peace of the surrounding residents.
The security staff's instructions support these three functions, so following them is mandatory for every guest. A guest who fails to follow these instructions may be required to leave the venue immediately.
If the security staff detects that the headcount fixed in the contract is being exceeded, they are entitled to refuse entry to the newly arriving guest, and in serious cases to suspend the event entirely.
If the renter wishes to file any complaint about the work of the security staff, they can do so via any of the operator's contact channels.
4.4 Permitted own equipment / staff
The renter is entitled to bring the following equipment / staff into the venue for the duration of the rental:
- sound equipment (not exceeding the maximum volume),
- sound engineer / DJ,
- light equipment,
- food, drinks, and optionally bartender or catering services.
If the renter has any special request beyond this (which is not banned under 4.5), they can raise it on any of the operator's contact channels up to the time of contract signing.
4.5 Prohibited items and activities
Certain activities are prohibited in the venue:
- conducting commercial activity,
- consuming, possessing or distributing drugs or other illegal mind-altering substances,
- activities harmful to oneself or one's surroundings,
- behaviour that breaks the law, qualifies as a criminal offence or violates public morals,
- damaging the venue's furnishings or causing material damage,
- disturbing residents in the venue's vicinity.
It is also prohibited to bring the following items into the venue:
- large stabbing or cutting tools,
- pyrotechnic equipment,
- drugs or illegal mind-altering substances,
- tobacco products, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or any other smoking-imitating device,
- any animals, including pets and domestic animals,
- saplings.
If the activities listed above are carried out (in particular, damaging the venue), or if a guest possesses any of the listed items, the security staff and/or the personnel are entitled to refuse entry to the guest, and in serious cases to permanently ban them from the venue.
The personnel may also refuse a guest's right of entry in certain other cases:
- the guest's clothing is inappropriate, soiled, or their general hygiene is unacceptable,
- the guest is heavily intoxicated or otherwise impaired,
- the guest is visibly under the influence of mind-altering substances,
- the guest behaves aggressively towards other people or the personnel,
- the guest has previously been banned from the venue.
4.6 Noise pollution, disturbance of peace
There is a residential building in the immediate vicinity of Club Soda. For this reason the maximum volume of music or other audio played at the venue is:
Using a simple speaker:
- before 22:00:
85dBA - after 22:00:
70dBA
With a sound engineer / DJ:
- before 22:00: top
85dBAsub70dBA - after 22:00: top
70dBAsub60dBA
We also recommend keeping the inner door closed for better sound insulation.
Exceeding the above limits significantly increases the risk of a noise complaint. If a noise complaint is filed during or after the event, or if the renter significantly disturbs the peace of the surrounding residents, the entire deposit is forfeited, and any costs arising from this are charged in full to the renter.
To avoid such damages, taking the event outside the venue onto the residential building's premises — in particular the inner courtyard — is strictly prohibited.
4.7 Accidents
The venue accepts no liability for any accident occurring on its premises or in its immediate vicinity that cannot be directly attributed to the venue itself.
In serious cases the renter is obliged to immediately notify the security staff (or, in their absence, the operator), and where necessary to call the emergency services.
4.8 Damages
In the event of material damage, the renter is obliged to immediately notify the security guard on the premises (or, in their absence, the operator) about the damage caused. The renter acknowledges that any intentional or negligent damage may lead to forfeiture of the deposit, and in serious cases to legal consequences. Failure to notify also results in automatic forfeiture of the deposit.
In the event of fire, the renter is obliged to immediately notify the security staff (or, in their absence, the operator).
4.9 Valuables
Even if the renter requests the continuous on-site security service detailed in 4.3, that service is responsible for the security of the venue and for preserving the private character of the event — not for the guests' valuables. Accordingly, Club Soda Event Venue accepts no liability for any loss occurring on the premises.
4.10 Smoking, open flames
Smoking, e-cigarettes and any smoking-imitating devices are prohibited on the entire premises of Club Soda, including the venue's entrance. Due to the closed character of the venue, smoking in a prohibited location leads to immediate refusal of entry, and the offender must leave the venue at once. Open flames are likewise prohibited in the venue.
When smoking in the immediate vicinity of the venue, the renter is obliged to mind cleanliness, the peace of the residents, and to avoid causing a noise disturbance.
5. Returning the venue
5.1 Cleaning
The renter is required to use the cleaning service provided by the operator. Its cost is included in the rental fee.
The renter therefore has no further obligations regarding cleaning; cleaning after the event is performed by the personnel. Cleaning does not, however, include remedying any damage or soiling — that is fully the renter's responsibility.
5.2 Inspection
At the end of the rental the operator inspects the venue and the condition of the furnishings. If no deficiencies are found, the renter's deposit is returned in full.
If the rental ends at 08:00, the inspection takes place immediately after the rental; in all other cases the inspection happens at 09:00.
If the personnel detects any deficiency, the deposit is returned in proportion to the damage or soiling, or possibly not returned at all. In serious cases the operator may invoice the renter for the value of the damage, or even initiate legal proceedings.
The operator reserves the right to unilaterally modify these House Rules. The currently effective House Rules are always available at the venue and on the Club Soda Event Venue website.
